Wasps Netball’s upcoming fixture against Manchester Thunder has been re-scheduled and will now be played on Wednesday 6 March at 7.30pm at Ricoh Arena.
The move has been confirmed by the Vitality Netball Superleague, due to the revised announcement date of the Vitality Roses squad for the Quad Series and potential international call-ups for players on the weekend of January 11 – when the fixture was initially scheduled.
It will mean Wasps Netball’s first fixture at Ricoh Arena in 2019 will now come against benecosMavericks on Monday 11 February (centre-pass 7pm).
The fixture against benecosMavericks will see a host of international level talent play at Ricoh Arena, with seven England stars set to take to the court as two of the country’s top teams go head-to-head.
Sarah Taylor, Wasps Netball Franchise Manager, said: “We want to ensure that Wasps Netball fans have the best experience at our home fixtures and part of that is having top international talent performing on the court.
“This will allow us to play all of our domestic fixtures with our international players available, who may have been called up to international duty on the weekend that we were due to play Manchester Thunder.
“We have worked closely with the Vitality Netball Superleague and Manchester Thunder to come to this solution.”
